The "Dear Me" video is out now & special show dates!

Hello Hutchheads!

Today is a big day for me! I'm thrilled to finally roll out a few special projects I've spent the last several months working on personally!

"DEAR ME" VIDEO

Today is the premiere of my "Dear Me" music video, starring me, and a whole bunch of you! You can watch it HERE!

Note: If you submitted a video - THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING THE TIME AND PLEASE DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY IF YOUR SUBMISSION WASN'T USED.

There were lots of reasons why we couldn't include all the submissions, but the most common reason was, the picture quality wasn't high enough to be able to read the sign. I truly wish "Dear Me" was 40 minutes long so that I could have included all the submissions in the video. There are lots of reasons why "Dear Me" is not 40 minutes long, but the main reason is because no one would listen to it.

UNCHARTED TERRITORY

Second, I'm announcing the dates for my Uncharted Territory shows. This is my quest to perform in all 50 states. I have just 5 states left to go and this has been a project I've spent a lot of energy on - making calls, talking to venues, and trying to talk my booking agent into the idea!  :)

June 3 - Anchorage, AK @ Williwaw Social
August 18 - Fargo, ND @ Sanctuary Events Center
August 19 - Sioux Falls, SD @ Icon Lounge
August 31 - Honolulu, HI @ Blue Note
September 1 - Honolulu, HI @ Blue Note
September 2 - Honolulu, HI @ Blue Note
September 23 - Laramie, WY @ Gryphon Theatre

Tickets are ON SALE NOW at UnchartedTerritory2017.com

Here's the scary part for me: there's a good reason I've never played these last 5 states - I have no idea if anyone knows my music there or will come to my shows!

These shows are me, stepping out of my comfort zone, and out into the great unknown, in search of new ideas and new inspiration. And I'm inviting you to join me.

Maybe you've never seen Mount Rushmore and this is an excuse to take the kids.

Maybe you've been meaning to spend some time with your old college roommate and a road trip to Wyoming sounds like the perfect weekend.

Or (like me) maybe you've always wanted to go to Alaska and now is as good a time as any to fly there with your insane party animal father-in-law and explore.

I'm excited to meet and see the local people of these states at these special shows, but I'm also hoping to have people from all over the country (and the world?) make the trip and join Me and The Believers in Uncharted Territory (get it?)

I even booked all these shows on the weekend so you'd be able to come!  :)

Lots more info coming soon!

Yours,

Eric

Easy Street is OUT NOW on CD, Vinyl, and digital Deluxe Edition!

Hey Hutchheads!

The digital release of “Easy Street - Deluxe Edition” is OUT NOW! I wanted a way to share all the musical and sonic details from “Easy Street” with you, the way I got to hear them in the studio at the mixing board, so I created the “Less Is More” mixes. I’ve stripped away all the drums (which sound AWESOME, but take up a ton of sonic space and make it hard to hear other instruments), so you can dig into the arrangements in a whole new way. Click here to buy it on iTunes.

"Easy Street" is also finally available to purchase online on CD or VINYL! You can click here to order it now on Amazon! We are offering FREE shipping for Prime Members.

And some special news...the long-awaited music video for “Dear Me” is almost here! It’ll premiere on March 14. Mark your calendars! This one is really special to me.

Eric is releasing a Deluxe Edition of Easy Street!!

Hello Hutchheads!

I’m thrilled to announce the Deluxe Edition of my latest album, Easy Street! I recently learned about Pledgemusic.com and thought it sounded like a fantastic way to share some of my time, new music and some special memorabilia with all of you. Plus, for the first time ever, “Easy Street” is available on VINYL, the first time ANY of my albums has been on wax. Cool.

I’ve spent a lot of 2016 educating people about Myotonic muscular dystrophy, a condition that has affected my dad and my family a long time. Part of the proceeds from this PledgeMusic campaign will go to support The Muscular Dystrophy Association, The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation and Myotonic Dystrophy Research.

I produced “Easy Street” myself, and one of my favorite parts of making this album was stacking instruments and layering details into the tracks. I had some of my favorite, most talented musician friends come to the studio and lend their talents. My favorite part of every day was getting to watch and hear these insanely creative folks do their thing. While working on the record, I would lament to my recording engineer, Roger, how it bummed me out that people would never be able to hear all the little sounds I loved in the record.

I wanted a way to share all of these musical and sonic details from “Easy Street” with you, the way I got to hear them in the studio at the mixing board, and I came up with the “Less Is More” mixes. Here, I’ve stripped away all the drums (which sound AWESOME, but take up a ton of sonic space and make it hard to hear other instruments).

Now, you’re able to hear the creative percussion of Shawn Pelton, the keyboard skills of Erik Deutsch, the dynamic guitar and piano work of my great friend Elliott Blaufuss and the heart-stopping backing vocals by Nathaly Lopez, Daniel Woods and Chaz Langley. It makes me so happy to know you can throw on some headphones or crank the stereo and dig into these arrangements in a whole new way.

I’m really excited to be able to offer this new version of my album, some cool items from the process of making my music, and some cool ways to get to know more about me and my life! You can ONLY get these items on PledgeMusic. Hope you enjoy!

Here's a note from Eric about the release:

It's finally here! My new album Easy Street comes out TODAY!!

I'm back to being an indie artist which means I independently funded, produced and distributed this record without the help of a record label. It's been a lot of work to get it made and released but I'm incredibly proud of the songs and would really love to have them heard and shared.

I'm relying on a grassroots campaign to spread the word about my new music and fall tour. I hope you'll listen to the new songs and, if you like them, I hope you'll share the music in any and all meaningful ways with your friends, family and followers.

Please pass it along to someone you want to share my new music with.

Thanks for all your continued amazing support believing in me and my music. I couldn't do it without you. Please enjoy Easy Street.

Love,
Eric
